Nightly Air Raids
As part of our current Ukraine mission, we once again witnessed a heavy Russian airstrike first-hand. As usual, the air-raid sirens went off in the early hours of the morning, presumably in part to maximise the psychological terror effect on the population. Getting from the upper floors of a high-rise building down to the shelter quickly is not at all easy. In this case, it took less than two minutes for the first Iskander short-range missiles to strike the surrounding neighbourhood. The result of the night: several dead and seriously injured, including several children.
Our video shows the head of the state emergency services in the city of Kharkiv during the recent handover of medical supplies. These colleagues are working 24/7 to rescue as many people as possible from the rubble following such attacks.
On the same note: Many thanks to our colleagues at MISSIONLIFELINE INTERNATIONAL for the two portable ventilators!
