High-tech medical simulation equipment

We don’t want the harrowing images from Kyiv from the last few days to completely overshadow images that can give us hope. The video shows medical colleagues from the Simulation Centre at the Unbroken Medical School in Lviv receiving training on specialised high-tech equipment in Germany. Medical simulations make an indispensable daily contribution to the systematic improvement of training standards in critical areas, whether for medical or non-medical staff. Thanks to DAHW (German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief), the centre is now receiving a full set of high-quality equipment. Modern simulation equipment often costs several hundred thousand euros, which is why training, servicing and the supply of spare parts are of particular importance to ensure that aid is sustainable.  With a great deal of dedication, thorough research and planning during the procurement process, we have successfully broken new ground here under the leadership of PEM Consult GmbH and with agile partner companies such as Orange Consulting GmbH. It’s great to see how the project is now progressing rapidly! The next project, this time with our Ukrainian colleagues from Artesans-ResQ, and hopefully supported by the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation for training in the field of paediatric intensive transport, is already in the planning stages.
