Sunday´s Good News

Here’s a ‘Sunday Good News Package’ for anyone who thinks they could do with a bit of good news. This is just a small selection of the many humanitarian successes, both big and small, that we were able to celebrate last week. The lorry, carrying 1,000 warm quality sleeping bags – procured for the first time ever in advance preparation for the coming winter – and a great deal of valuable medical equipment, has arrived in Ukraine. Warm thanks to Prof. Dr Andreas Sturm, Civilfleet-Support e.V., Tobias Winkler from ZKS and his team, and last but not least the tireless Dr Sebastian Veigel for this striking initiative. In addition, there was an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) from Mr Herholz’s DIY production, which now secures oxygen therapy availabliity during frequent power outages at a MedPunkt near the front line, as well as conference equipment for the new Artesans-ResQ training centre in Dnipro – thanks to Mark Fischer from our 4UA Core Team. Finally, Hamilton Medical will repair the emergency respirator heavily damaged in the tragic road accident near Lviv in May, entirely free of charge! And the long-awaited trauma-care-supplies equipment could finally be delivered to emergency services and stabilization points in the Kharkiv region. We’re happy, so for now our coffers are (rather more than) empty. Let´s see what´s next.
