After a long break, we are now back with news from our winter aid campaign for the frontline communities in Ukraine. With generous support from the "Gewerkschaften Helfen" association of the DGB - Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund - German Trade Union Confederation, our “mother ship” Civilfleet-Support e.V. and numerous individual donors, we have now been able to deliver the first batch of 500 winter sleeping bags. The rest will follow next week. In the meantime, even German ministers are warning of the dire consequences of the widespread damage to Ukraine's infrastructure: around two thirds of the heating and energy facilities have been destroyed. In view of the very harsh winter there, warmth is becoming a matter of survival. We are continuing to collect donations for our winter emergency aid!
