winter emergency support launched
Winter program aid launched - Solar-powered emergency power stations and winter sleeping bags for Eastern Ukraine
According to current estimates, 50-60% of Ukraine's heating and energy infrastructure is currently out of action following targeted Russian attacks. This means hardship of unforeseeable dimension for the civilian population in the coming winter. Particularly in communities close to the front line, electricity and heating are often completely cut off for longer periods, meaning that bare necessities like light, communication, fresh water and heat are often unavailable. Together with our partners, we supply solar-powered emergency power generators and winter sleeping bags, as well as medicines and medical supplies, to frontline communities. With one device, an entire community can at least charge telephones and radios, maintain lighting and pump well water.
We work on a 100% voluntary basis and have no indirect cost for transport, storage, administration or labour. Every euro donated to us can be tracked right up to its final beneficiaries.
