Winter aid to civilians trapped behind the zero line
Our Ukrainian partners are continuing to distribute sleeping bags to the suffering civilian population, as in this case Xtraverse in the areas close to the frontline north of Kharkiv. With outside temperatures as low as -20°C, these sleeping bags can be lifesaving, even indoors. Due to constant shelling, the windows are often missing panes, and the roofs are often only provisionally repaired. Our colleagues make a note of every sleeping bag handed out, along with the recipient's ID. This work is often life-threatening due to arbitrary Russian shelling.
