Ukraine winter aid in arctic conditions

Despite temperatures as low as -30°C, our Ukrainian partners are continuing the distribution of our winter sleeping bags. The village with the small church shown here is only 5 km from the Russian border as the crow flies and is repeatedly shelled. This poses a constant threat to aid workers and villagers alike. The other pictures show people in other parts of Ukraine being supported by our winter aid campaign. Every day, we receive new requests for sleeping bags, generators, torches and powerbanks. Even after almost four years of war, this shows the impressive capabilities of a broad solidarity network, in which there is always someone ready to contribute a lifesaving idea or a crucial aid item. With your help, we have procured more than 2,500 winter sleeping bags, and counting. In order to continue providing aid, we need the kind of generous support you all have demonstrated so impressively in the last months!
