Multiple bone fractures´ treatment

Despite the recent start of talks on a ceasefire in Ukraine, hundreds of people continue to be injured or killed every day as a result of the fighting. The high number of complicated bone fractures places a particular burden on hospitals and rescue services. Reusable metal implant systems that can be used to surgically immobilise such fractures are part of the basic equipment in every traumatology department. Without them, there is a risk of unstable limbs, delayed healing and often lifelong disability. These so-called fixators have long been in extremely short supply locally. We are therefore currently investigating whether we can import a relevant quantity from overseas for our partner clinic in Kharkiv. So far, it has not been possible to procure them over here due to limited resources available to us. Hence we are creatively looking for alternative solutions. Thank you for your interest and your attention.
