1000wintersleepingsbags campaign tops expected numbers by a stretch

 The response to our 1000Winterschlafsäcke campaign has already exceeded all hopes and expectations. Meanwhile donations and offers of help are still coming in. The current tally stands at 1,500 donated sleepingbags! A glance to the chilly outdoors and a second glance at the news reveals the urgency of the issue: While temperatures here are gradually approaching those in Ukraine, Russian attacks on the heating infrastructure continue unabated, with frequent power cuts. After tonight's attack with Oreshnik medium-range missiles on Lviv in western Ukraine, thousands of households are without electricity. Our Ukrainian partners could easily distribute 5,000 sleeping bags to meet even the most urgent needs. The photo shows some of the first 480 sleeping bags in our warehouse in Berlin. These are now almost all on their way to Ukraine. The next 1,000 will follow shortly.
